Hello, my name is Lan, and welcome to my blog!

In this blog, I will share with you my take on fashion and style, inspired by my passion for the arts and travel. I hope you will enjoy this adventure, as I am continuing to explore and share with you. I strongly believe that fashion adds fun to our daily life, while style enhances our self-image and is a building block of self-confidence and happiness.

First, a bit about my background. I was born in Saigon, Vietnam and spent my adolescent years there. I later lived for more than 20 years in Europe (Paris, France; Milan, Italy; and Montreux, Switzerland), interrupted with several years in California, USA, for college education. It was in California that I met my best friend and future husband, and where I returned to get married and have been living since. We share an intense interest in beautiful clothing, and my husband, as a psychiatrist with a passion for opera music and a voracious appetite for all things cultural anthropology, will occasionally share in this blog his insights on personality and psychology as related to fashion and style.

Growing up in Vietnam in a time of heavy French cultural influence, and attended Lycée Marie Curie prior to emigrating to Europe, I was early-on indoctrinated in the classic French-Indochine style. This was the foundation for me to later attach the European classic appropriate to my accrued life experience. As my husband often said, discovering your own evolution of style is no less satisfying than increasing self-consciousness, which one usually arrives at from years of intense psychotherapy. And hard work and expense!

I hope that through my blog, I will be able to inspire you with ideas on your journey to discover your own style. And happiness. And fun with fashion.
